224 Conversano Allegra V  (imp. Slovenia)

grey 15.1 hands

European Young Stallion Champion 2002

By 001 Conversano Capriola XIV (Fed. Stud Farm Slovenia)

Out of 170 Allegra V (1985)

Breeder: Irene Vidic, Slovenia

Imported in 2005 by Habsburg, “Leo” as he is known, is well credentialed. At three years of age he won the European Lipizzaner Young Stallion Championship in 2002 held in Slovakia. This prestigious award leaves this superb stallion with no further introduction required. So captivating is his beauty and this coupled with a lovely temperament and conformation, makes him so highly desirable.

A classical silver-white baroque Lipica style of horse, Leo is currently in training with his rider Annette Mitchell.

It is envisaged that this stallion will make his dressage debut in the coming months. We expect Leo’s initial outings to make an impact with-in dressage circles locally, representing the breed in his spectacular silver white colour.

It is hoped that the “stand out” quality of this stallion will be passed onto his progeny as it has in his first foal Conversano Grace”.

There are four videos below showing Leo at basic training level. The videos will be changed from time to time to show his progress.

Conversano Capriola

This beautiful stallion is the sire of 224 Conversano Allegra V and is a wonderful example of a modern Lipizzaner. Note the length of leg and rein. Conversano Capriola is also a taller example of the breed.

43 Siglavy Monteaura IV

grey 15.2 hands

DOB 30/11/83, recently deceased (16/11/06)

By the imported stallion Siglavy Flora – 1 - 75 imp Piber Austria

Breeder: Mr. G. Adcock, South Australia

“Monty” as he is affectionately known was trained by Dutch born rider Tony Uytendaal and exhibited regularly in dressage demonstrations . He was a wonderful traditional style of Baroque stallion. Monty possessed the most impressive ground covering trot, knee action and period of suspension.
With correct conformation “Monty” was one of the finest stallions to have been bred in Australia. This horse epitomised the style of horse bred for generations and so sought after in Austria for use at the Spanish Riding school of Vienna.

On my travels around the world, I have rarely seen A Lipizzaner stallion of such desirable proportions, athletic movement, and sought after type.

“Monty” was sadly lost on the 16/11/06. However, we await his one and only foal for 2007 to an outside mare.

Monty’s sire Siglavy Flora –1 - 75, was ridden at the Spanish Riding School of Vienna in performances by First Chief Rider Hans Handler before being exported to Australia.

This stallion is represented at Habsburg, in the mare 178 Grace by “Monty”. Conversano Grace is her first foal. View this colt on the “For Sale” page
