Mares
HABSBURG MARES
Were for many years the only
performed purebred females in the country. They were
trained for one day events, single, pair and four in
hand driving. On occasion, they were also ridden
side-saddle.
In recent years the owners of mares
in Australia have been out competing to demonstrate that
“mares can do it”.
